WHAT IS A CYANOTYPE?
good question!
A cyanotype is a special kind of art you make using the sun!
You place things from nature—like leaves, flowers, or even small objects—on special paper, then let the sunlight shine on it. The sun changes the color of the paper, and when you rinse it with water, it turns a beautiful bright blue!
Where the objects were, their shapes stay light, like a shadow—so you end up with a magical picture made by the sun and nature.
It’s like making a sun print!
